Research on P2P-Based SIP System Architecture

A remarkable feature of P2P distributed network is it distinguishes from Client/Server or Browser/Server,and there is no centralized server and the network self-organizes itself.Each peer synchronously provides three functions: information consumer,information provider and information communication.However,existing SIP system is a kind of Client/Server network mode,its scalability and reliability being poor.This paper analyzes in detail the key technology of P2P and SIP,and researches how to integrate P2P with SIP system to improve reliability,scalability and robustness of SIP system and to achieve zero configuration.At last,the paper proposes a detailed design for P2P-based SIP system architecture.Our P2P-Based SIP system supports basic user registration and call setup as well as advanced services such as voice,video and multimedia communications and so on.
