Information Technologies for Improving Management Level of Water Supply System for Binhai New Area

For the purpose of ensuring safe,reliable,economic and reasonable operation of water supply system for Binhai new area in Tianjin,integrated research and applications of information technologies were made to realize monitoring,warning and controlling of water supply works.Intelligent safety water supply system,automatic controlling system for valve of water supply network and GIS for water supply network are successful cases of applying information technology to realize modernization management of water supply.This article makes an analysis on application situation of specific information technologies in these cases,and gives an outlook to application of information technology in water supply system.Information technology has become increasingly mature,which will offer more rapid,convenient,economic,safe and reliable means for scientific management,remote monitoring,dispatching,controlling as well as information transmission of water supply undertaking.
