An unified uncertainty model of linear position based on spatial-temporal scale

In GIS vector data,modeling errors exist inevitably,and play an important part in uncertainty estimation,which are ignored in the GIS literature.In this paper,an uncertainty model with modeling error added for geographic polyline features was developed,and error promulgation law was used to estimate the uncertainty model.Comparing with current achievements,the error band model and the generic band model are special cases of the uncertainty model if and only if modeling errors equal to zero.
