New Method of Composited Discounted Evidence Combination

D-S evidence theory is an important information fusion method in decision level,in which the Dempster's rule always leads to counterintuitive results when combining conflicting evidences. A novel composite factor considering reliability and significance of evidence is proposed for the classical Shafer's discounting method. The method first defines evidence reliability measure reasonably by drawing support from evidence inclusion; then establishes the importance model of evidence with consideration of evidence quality, evidence consistency, and evidence accumulation etc.; and finally contributes the composite factor by multiplication operator. Experiments show that the evidence combination process of the proposed method is the same as personal information accumulation course of biological research achievement, and the combination rule is more effective than some existing ones.
