I/O MULTIPLEXING AND ITS APPLICATION IN WAP GATEWAY

This paper introduces select system call, which supports the I/O multiplexing, then analyzes the implementation principle of file descriptor sets fd_set. Based on these, two functions are created, which can handle the file descriptor sets conveniently in network programming, going with their practical application in the WAP gateway management.
