Joint estimation of the spread-spectrum signal parameters based on UKF algorithm

In the spread-spectrum communication, the receivers must keep the synchronization of the PN codes. To study this problem, UKF algorithm is given to track the PN codes with joint estimation of the amplitude of the signal. Several sigma points are gotten by the U transformation of the state vector. Then the UKF algorithm is used to estimate the nonlinear spread-spectrum signal. The simulation results demonstrate that the UKF algorithm has better performance than the EKF algorithm to treat the synchronization of the PN codes.
