Quantitative evaluation method of earth dam defects

Based on the analyses of influencing factors of the earth dam safety, a hierarchical structure model to evaluate an earth dam′s defects quantitatively is developed by using the multilayer analysis method. The grade standards of evaluation and indexes are presented. According to the relative importance of each factor, the judged matrixes are developed and weight of each index is given, and the grade value of an earth dam is calculated. So, the grade of an earth dam is judged, and the quality and operation situation are quantitatively evaluated.
