Implementation and evaluation of cross-layer cooperative routing in multi-hop wireless networks

To increase bandwidth in multi-hop wireless networks,this paper introduced the helper node to assist other links to transmit packets.It introduced a new concept cooperative routing which contained a routing path and corresponding helper nodes for each link.Based on this,the paper proposed a distributed cooperative routing algorithm and verified it on the real testbed.The results show the distributed algorithm can significantly improve the network performance.
