Research on design of ontology-based ETL

An ontology-based approach of ETL is discussed in data warehouse. After building the local ontologies of data sources and the global ontology of destine data warehouse,and the mappings of the ontologies,the mapping relations between ontologies with the expression of OWL are gained. Then start the process of data extract,data transform,data loading start under the guide of ontology-based metadata,the semantic heterogeneity in the process of ETL is eliminated,and the problem of data intergration in semantic degree of enterprise is solved.
