On application of GIS in global logistics——A case study of TransCAD

Logistics has been considered as a third source of profit and is blooming nowadays.The need to find cheaper rawmaterials,better customers and to increase or maintain profits sends many firms into global logistics.This paper uses TransCAD as an example to prove GIS can be very useful to logistics.Then by reasoning and deducing,it reaches the conclusion that GIS is also applicable in global logistics.
