Performance Comparison among Timing Synchronization Algorithms for OFDM Systems

Timing synchronization algorithms commonly used in typical OFDM systems are classified and summarized.The advantages and disadvantages of various timing synchronization algorithms are discussed.The performance of typical algorithms is compared through simulation.Suggestion is given that superimposed training sequence and symmetric property structure should be taken into consideration to improve the timing synchronization performance,which has certain significance of guidance for the study of time synchronization algorithms in OFDM systems.
