Grammatical analysis is after the lexical analysis in the compiling,its main task is to scan the output of the lexical analysis,and identifies the legitimate grammatical unit.With the constant development of software engineering,the demand of maintenance and reconstruction the existing software systems increased substantially,and reverse engineering was born in demand of the market,as a kind of software engineering approach.Therefore it became the basis of reverse engineering to analyze the source code and get some critical information.Hence grammatical analysis had a non-traditional use in the field of software reverse engineering,and became an essential part of it.
