XML-based Dynamic Plug-in Mechanism

Sha Lu · Electric Power Information Technology · 2012

During the software development process, frequent changes of business requirements result in large costs for changing and updating software components. To solve this issue, this paper proposes an XML-based dynamic plug-in mechanism, which sets plug-in configuration information including dynamic type, application configuration information and database connection information through an XML file, and dynamically loads needed plug-ins according to the real business requirements at run time. The proposed mechanism enhances software scalability.
