Research on Feature-based Reverse Engineering System for Modeling of Aeroengine Pipeline

To improve the quality and efficiency of aeroengine pipeline modeling,a flowchart of reverse modeling system was proposed.The model is based on two classification geometric features,surface-feature and section-feature,which are enough to reconstruct most parts of the pipeline system.The key techniques for CAD model reconstruction of aeroengine pipeline system were investigated and developed,including multi-view data registration,data segmentation,feature extraction and feature model reconstruction.The tested results on series of real complex scenes show that the presented system is accurate and robust in reverse modeling of aeroengine pipeline.
