Modest Proposal for Reducing Technology of Catalyst Used in Low Temperature Shift for Making Hydrogen

Author has introduced the physical and chemical properties of CB-5 low temperature shift catalyst and its reducing principle,summarized the reducing process and technology gist for the low temperature shift catalyst CB-5,used in hydrogen producing device with a capacity of 12 000 m3/h.The result indicates that taking the circular nitrogen gas(with a concentration of 98.8%) as a carrier,selecting hydrogen gas(with a concentration of 99.9%) as a reducing medium,controlling the concentration of hydrogen gas by the opening of hydrogen gas distribution valve,then the inlet temperature of reactor can be controlled at about 170 ℃,the temperature in the bed layer of reactor can not exceed 230 ℃ as a maximum in the reducing process,the temperature variation in bed layer is stable.
