The Projection Problem of Presupposition

This paper attempts to introduce some prevailing schools on the projection problem of presupposition. The semantic school includes Cumulative Hypothesis and Hole plug filter System while the pragmatic one is represented mainly by two: compositional account and implicature canceling account. It is believed that both syntactic and contextual factors should be considered to achieve a relatively reasonable explanation for this problem.\;
