Research on Speech Quality of VoIP Based on E-Model

【Abstract】Aiming at the problem that how to evaluate and survey the speech quality of VoIP accurately, this paper evaluates the speech quality of VoIP based on E-Model, analyzes the impact of several major factors such as time delay, and packet loss. It constructs a model which includes the factor jitter that is not considered in E-Model and analyzes the impact of jitter buffer on speech quality. Results of the designed experiments show that the precision of the model evaluating the speech quality of VoIP is satisfied. 【Key words】Voice over Internet Protocol(VoIP); jitter buffer; speech quality
