Xia Suntong is maximal contributor in compilingthe History Draft of Qing Dynasty,and he is also one of researchers who researched into it earliest.But till now,in field of studying compilers of the History Draft of Qing Dynasty,Xia Suntong's contribution was neglected.This article attempt to expound Xia Suntong's statements and researches in process of compiling History Draft of Qing Dynasty and tried to reveal role he played in it.
