The Analysis of Research Frontier and Hot Topics about Information Policy Based on Mapping Knowledge Domain

The main knowledge groups of infromation policy analyzed by making use of the newly developed information visualizationmethods,and the co-citation data records retrieved from Web of Science(SCI,SSCI,AHCI) between 1986 and 2009.The main stages of evolutionary process of information policy from its institutional formation,expansion to thorough development were summarized,the contribution of pivotalpoints,which stand for the famous infromation and their work,to the development of information policy.The research frontier and tot topics of infromation policy can be reflected by the special terms which were deteced by information visualization tool CiteSpace.
