FER(Facial Expression Recognition),as an important part of the technology for human machine interface,has been given an increasing attention in recent years in that there is not only a wide spread application prospect but also great potential market values.And many new methods sprang out.In this paper,the research stage of FER in recent years both at home and abroad,as well as the outlook for future FER development have been illustrated comprehensively.
