Design and Analysis of Selective Resending Algorithm for Multimedia Real-time Transmission

Based on the analysis of RTP/RTCP protocol’s characteristics,combined with the design thought of resending mechanism for transmission reliability in the connection-oriented transmission protocol TCP,this paper considers the facts of packets lost in the multimedia real-time transmission,and designs the selective resending algorithm for improving QoP,which is deteriorated due to packets lost in multimedia real-time transmission.
