Research on intelligent decision support system of traffic accident disposing on the basis of case-based reasoning

The overall frame of the intelligent decision support system for traffic accident disposing on the basis of case-based reasoning(CBR) is proposed based on the theory of artificial intelligent and the knowledge on road traffic accidents. In accordance to the process of traffic accident disposing, the main problems to be solved in the design of the system are analyzed, such as rapid drawing of a sketch of the accident scene, computing of the related accident vehicles' speed and identifying of the responsibility of the concerned persons in the accident. The reason for adopting CBR,the functional models,and the establishment of the cases library and the knowledge library are discussed. An application example is also presented.
