Research on Information Retrieval and Information Extraction

As the Internet is widely used, people can easily get information by access to the Internet. The acquisition of information is now becoming very important. The existing technologies of information retrieval and information extraction can not meet people's requirement in such an information explosion society. In this paper, some main technologies of information retrieval and information extraction are first introduced respectively. Then, the limitations of both technologies are analysed. Finally an information acquiring model is described by combing both technologies on information retrieval and information extraction.
