Ellipse fitting algorithm for dual-axis magnetic sensor orthogonality measurement was presented to resolve the peobloem of complicated and exhausting procedure which caused by the vector projecting method.The parametric equation of Lissajous figure could be sloved by ellipse fitting algorithm with least square method.Then the orthogonality of dual-axis magnetic sensor could be calculated by the geometric characteristics of the Lissajous figure after the parameters of the parametric equation been obtained.Measurement result indicated that the ellipse fitting algorithm not only could get high precision,but also was easily realized and simple to handle.
