A Brief Overview: Rate-based Congestion Control for ATM Networks

Ra te based congestion contro l has been adopted by the ATM Forum as standard. After a brief introduction to so me selection criterions to ATM congestion control schemes, mainstream algorithms and implementations were discussed, and some open issues were addressed.
