Considerations about the Integration of Information Technology in Chinese Language Research and Practice

This paper reviews the background and significance of the integration of information technology in Chinese language research and practice.The state of the art of the area,as well as the major deficiencies,is summarized.We present the general strategy with emphases on the digitized resources development,intelligent information processing and networked language service of boosting Chinese language information infrastructure.Furthermore,the whole strategy and the five detailed initiatives to realize the information technology integration in Chinese language are proposed.
