This paper introduced the characteristics of the PLC. PLC is a mature technique in the world for industry control. We can change the electric circuit of the existing machine tools using PLC and also can substitute the logic circuit, which has complicated circuit connection and poor reliability in intrinsic machine tools using the powerful logical operation power of PC. This article aims at practical industrial application. First it describes the close relation between PLC and industry. Then it introduces the principle of PLC simply that CPU controls the controlled equipment through some Boolean calculation of the input port signals. This process is completed by means of periodic scan, massive sampling and integrated output. Then it analyses the controlling electric circuit of Grid Decontaminating apparatus press including the key circuit, controlling circuit, signals and illumination circuit. It decomposes out necessary input and output dots and distributes by analyzing the process. Finally it chooses the right PLC, draws traperziform charts and writes out the program codes.
