Face Recognition Based on Direct Neighborhood Preserving Embedding

Direct NPE(DNPE) is an extension of neighborhood preserving embedding to deal with the small sample size problem,and this algorithm solves neighborhood preserving embedding problem via simultaneous diagonalization,and can avoid the singularity of matrices.Experimental results on the face database ORL show that this algorithm is more powerful than PCA,PCA+LDA and NPE recognition.
