The Design for the Application of VPN (Virtual Private Network) Technology in Library Service

The electronic resources in university library has increased year by year, but the reader service mode is single, some libraries make access to such resources only by limiting IP and readers’ visit, and under some circumstances, readers’ visit to library resources will be limited, failing to truly achieve the goal of library service. This paper introduces the principles of VPN technology, and expounds the design for the application of VPN technology in library service.
