A Proposal Of Reducing Parallel Communication Overhead Based On Vibrating String Problem

In message passing programming of parallel computing, communication between processors takes so much time that it is im- portant to reduce communication overhead. Based on this, we find out that there are a lot of small messages in network transmission, use the idea of data merging, put forward a proposal of reducing communication overhead in vibrating string parallel programming, derive a formula that can get the best performance and do experiments for it. The result indicates that the proposal can reduce com- munication overhead of parallel computing efficiently, it also can apply to some other parallel computing problem.
