Improved PEGASIS Algorithm Based on Optimizing Communication Quality

On the basis of traditional PEGASIS(power efficient gathering in sensor information system) protocol,a new algorithm based on optimizing quality of communication is proposed.The new algorithm uses meeting ant colony algorithm in chain head formation stage and employs double chain heads for data transmission,which greatly reduces the communication time delay.The distance threshold is introduced into as limited weight to calculate the optimal path based on energy balance and communication quality during chain topology.The experimental results show that the algorithm optimizes the communication quality of whole network effectively.
