Research on Image Rendering with Cartoon Style Based on Target Contour Segmentation

The traditional TV cartoon style image rendering productions are limited by place and equipment.A new image rendering algorithm with cartoon style was proposed based on target contour features.According to the characteristics of the cartoon image,the contour of the target image and the characteristic of uniform region color were considered particularly.The region contour of image was extracted,and the closed contours processing was accomplished.The regional segmentation was realized.The color homogenization processing was taken in the local region,the color blank maps and contour maps were fused.Compared with the traditional cartoon rendering algorithm based on scan line method,the simulation results show that the new method can overcome the scanning appear abrupt jump and false color stripe and the whole cartoon style is more balanced.It has certain practical application value.
