Geospatial databases active updating driven by GECA rules

In order to improve the updating on geospatial data,this study introduces the ECA rules and active database concepts and technologies into geospatial database updating.The description and defmition of the Geo-events are investigated and a logic expression model for Geo-Event is developed.Also,the updating conditions and action are classified and described.This paper presents an implementation model for geospatial data active updating driven by GECA rules.A case study proves that the method can greatly improve the automation and intelligent level of data updating.
