Adsorption of NH_4~+ by Vermiculite Minerals and Langmuir Equation

Tests and theoretical analysis indicate that when the total quantity of NH~+_(4) adsorption by vermiculite minerals,Q_(e) is expressed as a function of initial NH~+_(4) concentration C_(0) and medium mass quantity W_(0), using Langmuir Equation Q_(e)= W_(0)q_(m)C_(0)/(K_(C)+C_(0)),the coefficient K_(C) in the equation is not a constant but a function linearly related to W_(0). The suitable range of Langmuir Equation application for description of NH~+_(4) adsorption by vermiculite is within relatively low C_(0) levels.
