National Patent MIS with 3-Level Architecture Based on J2EE

The 3-Level architecture applicable for patent management is presented, based on the investigation of the practical work in national patent bureau, Guangdong province and Nanhai city patent department according to the problems existing in actual patent management information systems. A multi-tier application software system is developed with distributed component based on J2EE technique, which improves the share capability of patent information and the efficiency of work coordination with each other in different departments. Especially, the cost of the software is reduced because of its advantages such as preferable expansibility, maintenance, deployment, etc.
