The Research on Index System of Campaign Fire Damage

The PLA's own theory of campaign fire damage has been initially developed by adopting the military operation research and the evaluation theory of fire efficiency,which contains basic theory,application theory and calculation theory.In the basic theory there included standardized theory,demand theory,supply theory,planning theory,assessment theory,etc.In this paper the most critical question studied in the demand theory is the requisite index of the campaign fire damage.Having proceeded from the background of the joint operations,the operational model has been established to differentiate the fire troops and the combat troops and henceforth the general formula for the required damage index of fire troops obtained.Then according to the coverage and the permissible loss ratio,the mathematical pattern for the required proportion of combat latent capacity has been deduced,thus analyzing the damage index system,demonstrating the standard damage index as well as the conversion coefficient,proving the quantitative relation between those three damage indexes,discussing the function of the anti-tank artillery no the damage index and explaining finally the application of the damage index in the calculation of the required firepower and the relevant assessment of the campaign fire.By comparing our calculated results and the data from foreign armed forces,we have not only fond lots of coincidence,but also worked out some existing deficiency points in the foreign theory.
