Research on Cosine-Modulated Filter Banks

In this paper, we present an improved design for near perfect reconstruction(NPR) critically sampled cosine_modulated filter banks(CMFB). Compared to other design techniques, this method converges very rapidly and allows for the design of excellent prototype filters. The optimization procedure requires linear iterative equation solving stopband attenuation problem with small iterative error. The properties of stopband are superior to other conventional design method. The advantages of this method are its rapid convergence and excellent linearity.
