Fan Liang · Journal of Shandong Institute of Light Industry · 2009
This article is based on related traditional video scalable coding technology, and describes the basic thoughts on H.264 video scalable coding. It provides emulational testing on the calculation methods of forecasting within frames and between frames, and makes coding performance comparison with MPEG-2 standard. The testing results shows that the coding performance of H.264 scalable coding increase around 50%.
