Rotor Shape Design and Analysis of Variable-Reluctance Resolver for Hybrid-Vehicle Motor Drive Applications

The design technique of the rotor shape of the variable-reluctance resolvers and the operating principles of the variable-reluctance resolver for the driving machines in the electric-vehicle applications were introduced.This method could quickly conduct a convex shape rotor design,and based on the results,the finite element analysis to calculate the precise electromagnetic,the error analysis and precision convex shape rotor size amendment was presented.The effectiveness of the design method was verified by the prototype test.
