AN IMPLEMENTATION OF XR SOFTWARE TRANSPORTA-TION PROJECT ON TQ-16
En C · Chinese Journal of Computers · 1983
The hierarchical software project (XR-project for short) is a scheme for building softwares hierarchically by means of high level tools, which provides a mechanical way of software transportation among various home made computers. The first experiments of transportation under this project are presented. The results of transportation of the software-writing tool XHY, the conversational SNOBOL interpreter, the BASIC interpreter and the portable FOETRANIV compiler (XRPOR) to a target machine TQ-16 are introduced. The main difficulties encountered during the transportation course are analyzed, and the methods used to overcome them are described.
