The Application of TCP/IP Congestion Control Method in Linux Operating System

The principle of congestion control algorithms of Reno TCP and New-Reno TCP has been studied. According to the simulation of Reno TCP and New-Reno TCP, we study the characteristics of the two protocols, under the occasion that there are many packages discarded in the Internet. We can draw a conclusion from the simulation results that the New-Reno TCP has better performance than the Reno TCP in congestion control.
