Introspection and Research into Legal Protection of Computer Software

The software industry of our country is underdeveloped, and the legislation on the protection of software hangs behind too. One can use developed country's legislation experience for reference, but it also limits our eyereach. In the beginning of 1990s, correlative consultations and negotiations are conducted frequently between the United States and China, so Chinese legislations on the software protection are also influenced. In the end, China chose the copyright law to protect computer softwares. Is this a makeshift or a far-sighted act? The academe discusses the issue ardently. Which law is more appropriate, copyright law or patent law? This article gives a detailed analysis.
