Research on Management Approaches for Water Information Resources Metadata

The essay discusses approaches to metadata management of water information resources,from aspects of data source registration,metadata registration and updating.The author makes an analysis on problems encountered with in data source management,studies registration,updating mechanism and storage pattern of metadata.Technically,preliminary study is provided on a set of practical approaches to metadata management,which will be of a reference value to develop water information resources sharing system at all levels.
