Search engine is an important tool for users to obtain information on Web enviroment.Its performance needs to be tested by scientific evaluation methodoloies.The article analyzes common evaluation methodologies and their application charac teristics.The article focuses on the three methods of effectivness evaluation and the circumstances they fit.An integration of sever al evaluation methods is working in practice.
