A Survey of Intrusion Detection Research on Network Security

Intrusion detection is a highlighted topic of network security research in recent years. In this paper, first the necessity of intrusion detection is presented, and its concepts and models are described. Then, many intrusion detection techniques and architectures are summarized. Finally, the existing problems and the future direction in this field are discussed.
