A Blind Parameter Estimation Algorithm for CPM Signals

A blind parameter estimation algorithm for CPM signals in terms of carrier frequency,symbol rate,modulation index and modulation order is proposed to solve the parameter estimation problem of CPM signals in the non-cooperative communication.The algorithm of symbol rate estimation is analyzed based on the features of cyclic stationarity of CPM signals and joint estimation of modulation index and frequency offset is given according to the result of symbol rate estimation.Lastly,the recognition algorithm of modulation order is analyzed based on cyclic stationarity of the signal.Simulation results indicate the validity of the algorithm with high performance under low SNR.
