Common fixed points and best approximation on weakly compact set

On weakly compact sets in locally convex linear topological space,a common fixed-point theorem and a best approximation theorem of a pair of nonexpansive mappings are obtained.This extends results of Hussain and Khan and unifies many well-known conclusions of others.
