Design of Micro Controller for Video Decoding Based on Data Flow

This paper presents a special design method for microcontroller according to muti-protocol parsing problem during design of digital video decoding chip.This method uses video parsing oriented instruction sets.It does some special optimization on the instruction based on the video parsing process.Compatibility of several video protocols such as MPEG1/2,AVS,H264 is realized by introducing a video parsing model for the micro controller.The efficiency of the decoding can be ensured and no chip-area or power-consume is increased in this design.
