Application of mathematical morphology in the recognition and localization of circle object

In this paper,the recognition and localization of object base on mathematical morphology are discussed.A new algorithm which can extract the circle object and locate the center of circle in an image is proposed.Firstly,small blocks are removed by open operation.Then edge is detected through morphology edge operations.The circle objects are detected through the criterion of circle object.And the center of the circles are located.The experiments show that the algorithms for extracting circle object base on mathematical morphology are simple and effective.
