Analysis of Traffic Participants' Waiting Tolerance from Investigative Questionnaires

Traffic participants' waiting tolerance is one of the factors influencing the traffic management especially in the harmonious and humanistic society which is being advocated. In order to improve the level of traffic management and guide the intelligent traffic control system construction,the investigative questionnaires about traffic participants' waiting tolerance were surveyed in 14 districts in Beijing. From the analysis of 3 000 questionnaires,the level of traffic participants' waiting tolerance were suggested,which could be a reference in signal timing.
